Atlanta indie rockers Ponderosa are well worth your attention, combining psychedelic, soul and Southern rock to create music that’s hauntingly beautiful and irresistibly catchy all at the same time.
The Best of What’s Next alum debuted their first album, Moonlight Revival in 2011. Their forthcoming record, Pool Party, was produced by David Fridmann—who is best known for his work with the Flaming Lips, MGMT and OK Go. The end result is a sonic shift that draws from groups including Fleet Foxes andMUTEMATH.
Pool Party is expected to be released on July 31 on New West Records. You can check out their first single, “Najavo,” below.
